Fuse Design – Showcased

A few days ago, we noticed a notable increase in traffic to our Fuse site. After a quick inspection of the analytics, it came to our attention that we have become one of the few graphic design agencies in the UK to be featured on the WordPress site’s showcase.

As many of our clients know, we mainly use WordPress as the platform for our content managed websites as well as our own. Building HTML5-powered bespoke themes and using smooth jQuery transitions to add the visual appearance of the site. We have currently got a number of new content managed sites to be launched in the next couple of weeks so watch this space…

GraphicDesignNottingham_Terrace

As many of our existing clients know, we have had a 2nd studio space for a while now. Nottingham is still our main office, however, Fuse now have a 2nd office based in The Terrace in the Cultural Quarter of Lincoln. If you are ever in or around Lincoln then feel free to call in for coffee, cake and a chat about graphic design!

A14 Print Finishing Visit

Fuse recently completed the branding of award winning photographer Dom Romney, this included designing and sourcing materials for his new hot foil blocked business cards. We accompanied Dom to A14 Print Finishing in Nottingham to see his cards on press, which was very interesting. We will upload some images of the finished business cards very soon.

Fuse Design - Scott Prenn Party

Scott Prenn Summer Party

Last week we were invited to the Scott Prenn Summer Party to celebrate the 4th July.  Fellow Scott Prenn associates, clients and friends were there and as well as Oscar Blustin, a freelance photographer who was commissioned to record the event as well as take photo’s for the new Scott Prenn site we are currently building.

The party was a great success so thanks for the invite guys!

Fuse were delighted to attend the relaunch event of the transformed hospitality suites at Trent Bridge Cricket ground last night. We enjoyed champagne, canapés and a prime view of the Notts Outlaws v Gloucestershire Gladiators, Clydesdale Bank 40 match. Notts Outlaws went on to secure a 41-run victory over and improved their prospects of qualification from their Clydesdale Bank 40 group. Overall, it was great evening and I think we will be going back to watch another game very soon.

Fuse have again been asked by Scott Prenn to create their latest clients, 24 page Funding Review Document.

The client is Vision for a Nation, who run an innovative program to provide universal access to eyeglasses, starting in Rwanda. For more details check out their site – www.visionforanation.org. We’ll add a few images to our blog once the artwork has been approved and printed!

Copenhagen

Fuse have recently returned from a great visit to Copenhagen. You would expect Copenhagen and its surroundings to have something rather special up its sleeve in the art and design department and we were not disappointed. Copenhagen’s architectural richness is one of the first things that strikes you in city. From the delightful 17th century Dutch-style town houses that line the quay at Nyhavn to the dynamic modern extensions to venerable old buildings. The museums house impressive collections of both classic and modern Danish and international art and design, which was right up our street.

One of the highlights of the trip was the Danish Design Centre (DDC). The main exhibition on at the time was the ’10+ Design Forecast’ which takes stock of Danish design in the first ten years of the new millennium and examines which design trends have a big role to play in the years to come. If you’re interested in any aspect of design, then Copenhagen is the place for you.

GraphicDesignLondon_Ghost

Ghost Forest is a major art installation consisting of 10 primary rainforest tree stumps which were brought to Europe from Ghana, Western Africa by the artist Angela Palmer. Working along side Scott Prenn, Fuse has been asked to create folders that will generate interest and sponsorship for the forth coming 12 month exhibition at the Oxford University’s Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum. The Exhibition that has previously been in Trafalgar Square and Copenhagen, starts in July and is well worth a visit.

GF Smith have kindly provided paper for this Project, which is to be printed on their carbon neutral Mohawk range.

F1 Racer

Fuse took time our of their busy schedule yesterday to take up Double Red’s invitation of a few simulated laps in a Formula One Showcar, in what turned out to be a phenomenal driving experience.

Using the same simulation technology used in the F1 drivers training, the car as a PR tool would provide great opportunities in marketing a business as its simply so unique.  To find out more information the visit the Formula 1 Racer website.  We’ll definitely look at hiring it in the future!
